As the mobile healthcare provider for communities in our service area, central EMS takes responsibility of community safety very seriously. Central EMS conducts programs that reach into the community to help prevent and respond to medical emergencies. This is done by teaching classes such as CPR, Stop-the-Bleed and others training to groups and individuals. With community education and training, we help the public be better prepared to respond in case of emergency.

CPR Courses
Central EMS is dedicated to improving the community we serve. According to the American Heart Association there are more than 356,000 out of hospital cardiac arrest annually. Nearly 90% of these cardiac arrests prove to be fatal. One deciding factor in surviving an out of hospital cardiac arrest is bystander CPR.
In an attempt to improve cardiac arrest survival in our community Central EMS offers the full range of American Heart Association CPR education. We offer CPR classes ranging from the most basic form of hands only CPR training to the most advanced from of CPR education for healthcare providers. Our goal is to get as many of our communities’ members trained in CPR as possible to increase the chance of survival from an out of hospital cardiac arrest.
Stop The Bleed
As our communities continue to witness or experience unexpected violence and injuries in our daily lives there is a need to make our communities more resilient. Central EMS in partnership with Washing County Department of Emergency Management, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Fayetteville Fire and Police Department, and Washington Regional Medical Center offers the American College of Surgeon’s Stop the Bleed program. This program is offered to the communities and citizens of Washington County free of charge.

Central EMS is your Ambulance Service; one highlight of our crew’s day is when we have the opportunity to show off one of your ambulances. Our crews also enjoy when they have the opportunity to speak to the future of our community about the career opportunities in pre hospital medicine.
Professional Development
Central EMS is dedicated to being innovative and continuously working to improve pre hospital healthcare. To do this we provide continued education on a monthly basis to the pre hospital providers of Washington County.
